Alloy: Episode 98

Loose Threads (Playlist #98)

Loose Threads

After being away from the microphone for a month(!!)—enjoying time away with family, pursuing other creative efforts, and resetting the old battery—Alloy returns to the airwaves on election day (here in the US), no less! This week's show included picking up some loose musical threads left from the last live show—digging deeper into releases from Daniel Lanois, Nels Cline, and Grammy nominee Greg Ward. I also dove into the ever-rich and musically rewarding (and timely!) catalog of Chicago and spun some new musical threads as well by featuring works by Matt Ulery’s Loom/Large, Mary Halvorson, Michel Banabila, Clare Fischer, and much more.

As always don't forget that you can listen to all of the music from the last episode, “Musical Fabric” from the comfort of your browser (click here). This week's artwork, “time waves” is a detail of a larger work by yours truly.

Thanks for listening!
