Crimson (playlist #144)
This was a week of fabulous finds. First off, excellent new releases filled the airwaves at the show’s outset. Checkout this week’s playlist to see what was shared. The show then pivoted on a new release by Delta Saxophone Quartet, Bowie, Berlin & Beyond which features an exceptional cover of Brian Eno’s, Music for Airports. The balance of the show then explored tracks from Robert Fripp & Brian Eno’s Live In Paris 28.05.1975 a three-disc set that I recently acquired. It is a looper’s delight (highly recommend it) and it is a vital historic document of the looping/experimental period of Eno and Fripp. The show ended with a dip into more Crimsony goodness with tracks from (I think) the overlooked 1995 King Crimson release, Thrak—a prog essential listen.
