Close to the Void (playlist #130)

“close to the void” by gbmediadesign

This week's show developed like a trip without a map…maybe without a compass as well! No clear destination and no end goal or theme to "guide the process," as they say. Instead, I went into the musical void to see just what would happen if the growing of the weekly playlist was left simply to the organic process of adding choice tracks as I listened to them, or as I discovered and/or was directed to them by other research and general listening. One historical nugget to pass along Yes' album Close to the Edge was released 45 years ago! You will see some Yes tracks in this week's playlist, honoring this album and their legacy. So, alas, this week's musical melange involved going into the amorphous void and trusting the process. I hope you enjoy the end result.

Don't forget that you can listen to all of the music from the last episode, “Room Enough to Explore” (click here). This week's artwork, “close to the void” is a detail from a larger work by yours truly. Thanks for listening!
