Harvesting (playlist #139)

"harvesting" by gbmediadesign

‘Tis the season of “Best of” lists. I have never composed, and doubt I ever will, my own year-end list of “best of” releases, but I do take a look at lists that others create to see what is/was new and interesting that I missed. For today’s show, I pulled some “Best of 2017” tracks from the excellent YouTube music review channel, deep_cuts and the British avant garde music magazine The Wire. There was also time for sharing outstanding new releases by New York Electric Piano, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Julian Lage, and Björk. Checkout this week’s playlist to see and/or listen to all of this week’s discoveries—old and new.

Don't forget that you can listen to all of the music from the last episode, “Birthdays” (click here). This week's artwork, “harvesting” was created by yours truly.

Thanks for listening!
