This week is a marked shift in focus: more talk, less music. Nothing permanent I assure you. Why the shift this week? Well, on April 24th, Dickinson is hosting a very special and unique joint concert featuring DICE and the Dickinson Jazz Ensemble. To raise awareness of this performance, for the last month or so, I have been showcasing tracks every week that will be part of the evening's reportoire--pleasant musical teasers, if you will. For this week's show I am upping the ante by featuring two interviews (an Alloy first!), one live, in the studio, and one pre-recorded. In the first hour of the show I will be speaking with trumpeter and educator, Jeffrey Wohlbach about the Dickinson Jazz Ensemble. In the second hour I will play an interview I recorded last week with clarinetist, educator, and founding member of Alarm Will Sound, Elisabeth Stimpert about DICE. It promises to be a very engaging and lively 2 hours this week. Please listen live, if you can. Thanks for supporting the show! (Episode artwork created by gbmediadesign)
